These sweet and savoury bites take just four ingredients—dates, Homewrecker Pimento Cheese, streaky bacon, and a drizzle of maple syrup.

The result? The most addictive appetiser you’ll find in your festive spread.

Ingredients

  • 12 Medjool dates, pitted

  • 100g Homewrecker Pimento Cheese

  • 6 rashers streaky bacon, halved

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) / 400°F / Gas Mark 6. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. Stuff the dates with a generous teaspoon of Homewrecker Pimento Cheese, then gently press them closed.

  3. Wrap each date in half a rasher of bacon.

  4. Arrange on the tray and bake for 15 minutes, turning halfway through.

  5. Drizzle with maple syrup and return to the oven for 5 more minutes, until the bacon is crisp and caramelised.

  6. Serve warm and watch them disappear in seconds!
