PIMENTO CHEESE CREAMED SPINACH

Y’all I cross my heart, this is one of the easiest and MOST DELICIOUS sides we’ve made with Homewrecker yet!

The creamy Homewrecker Pimento Cheese sauce is just the right amount of indulgence and makes for a perfect addition to your Thanksgiving spread…

I mean, y’all, we gotta get those greens in somehow!

Ingredients:

Serves 4

  • 15g butter

  • 1 tbsp plain flour

  • 100ml full-fat milk

  • 50ml single cream

  • 200g spinach (feel free to add more if you want a greener side dish!)

  • 100g Homewrecker Pimento Cheese

  • Salt and pepper

Method

1. Heat butter in a saucepan, stir in plain flour, and cook for 2 minutes. Then slowly start to whisk in full-fat milk, cream & Homewrecker Pimento Cheese.


2. When it has all been incorporated, gently cook for 5 mins until the sauce has thickened.


3. Meanwhile, place spinach in a large colander.


4. Pour over a kettle full of boiling water until the leaves have wilted.


5. Place the spinach in a clean dishcloth, squeeze out any excess liquid, then roughly chop.


6. Stir into the sauce, gently heat & season well.


7. Serve!
