It’s an English classic with a Southern twist - introducing bangers and Homewrecker mash.

Ingredients:

Serves 4

  • 8 sausages

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks

  • 2 heaped tablespoons of Homewrecker Pimento Cheese

  • 100ml milk

  • 50ml double cream

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Onion Gravy (homemade or store-bought!)

  • Method

  1. Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover them with water. Add a pinch of salt to the water and bring it to a boil. Cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.

  2. While the potatoes are cooking, cook your sausages as per the instructions on the packaging.

  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, cream, milk and Homewrecker to the pot and mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Plate up your cheesy mash and sausages and pour over your onion gravy.

  5. Tuck in and enjoy!
